The Reel Wedding Review was founded by two Dallas wedding professionals, Peter Silander and Ben Read, to provide a new and very comfortable way to educate couples as they plan their wedding. In November 2006, Marianne Richardson joined the team and brought with her tremendous expertise in wedding and event planning. Together they have nearly 35 years of experience in the wedding industry and have seen the way that most brides plan their big day. Unfortunately, it's most often a first time experience and there's so much to learn. It can be overwhelming. To help couples get started, we've developed the Reel Wedding Review concept. Brides and grooms can share a unique experience while learning about professionals in their local area.
This is a great place to begin the planning process without any hassle from vendors and without the time requirement of searching the internet or scouring through wedding magazines. Our idea is to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment for the bride and groom, while giving our advertisers a unique way to present themselves in a very educational manner. This concept is taking off quickly and we are excited about where the future will lead.

Peter Silander
Peter brings creativity and ingenuity to the Reel Review team with his experience in the wedding industry and background in founding several well-known local Dallas ventures such as The Pocket Sandwich Theater and Singles Television Network, the nation's first reality TV show. He has been setting the pace at Dallas events for more than 25 years as a professional disc jockey in the wedding and event industry. A recognized expert in his field, he knows what brides are looking for when planning their wedding - having helped his bride, and a number of clients, in the planning of their own special day. A professional dance instructor, Peter knows how to read people and get a crowd involved in an activity. A man of integrity, he holds an impressive list of clients that have put him behind the wheel of their events time and time again. Peter holds a BS degree in Business with a minor in Theater.
Ben Read
Ben brings a wealth of video production experience to Reel Wedding Review, having worked in television news, in independent documentary production and as the owner of his own wedding videography company where he delighted brides by capturing and documenting the moments of their special day. His knowledge and expertise in video and multimedia combined with a strong sales and marketing background position him for developing and promoting Reel Review's shows. Ben holds a BA in Political Science and Communication Arts from Austin College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Marianne Richardson
Marianne brings incredible knowledge of the wedding industry to Reel Review and enhances the company's image and reception with the incredible respect she holds within the industry. A certified Wedding Consultant for many years, Marianne owns her own full-service event planning company, providing both brides and businesses with peace of mind that every occasion will be perfect down to every last detail. She strives to make every bride’s dream wedding a reality with her keen ability to truly understanding what each bride wants and expects. Before joining Reel Review, Marianne spent over 20 years at Delta Airlines where she was responsible for management of International Flight Attendants.
